Join Slow Food Gold Country at Manzanita Kitchen & Events in Diamond Springs, CA, for a hands-on, traditional Thai Cooking class led by Thailander George Saleo.
In this hands-on class we will be preparing, cooking and tasting traditional dishes; Pork Satay, Thai Egg Omlete, Green Curry Duck, Basil Chicken and Mango Sticky Rice.
George was born in Chonburi, Thailand, in a small agricultural community, his family being a long standing line of farmers of rice, sugar cane and coconuts. After relocating to The Unites States in 1968, George and family opened King’s Kitchen in San Clemente, and subsequently, Chang’s Restaurant San Juan Capistrano. These were the first and only Thai restaurants in those cities at the time.
George’s love affair with Thai cuisine stays true to authentic Thai home cooking.
Please join us for a fun, educational ethnic and tasty Slow Food event!
